This course explores the identification, diagnosis, and management of parasites affecting exotic and nondomestic species. Participants will review common and emerging parasites, learn appropriate diagnostic techniques such as fecal analysis and bloodwork, and discuss evidence-based treatment and prevention strategies. Emphasis will be placed on species-specific considerations, herd and collection health, and practical approaches for veterinarians working in the field or in clinical settings. This course will highlight challenges and solutions in managing parasitic disease in exotic wildlife populations.
